  • Which Cutter/Plotter Should we buy?

Hi people, i am new to this board but its seems like a great help.

We are a car graphics company who specialise in car detailing. We are looking to get into doing full colour printed graphics for cars/bikes etc.
We obviously need these prints to be water proof.
Have you guys got any suggestions as to which printer cutters are the best for this type of work. And any ideas on running costs would be fantastic.

    Regards
    Chris

    Hi and welcome Chris 😀

Been to your website many times, I like the demos/instructions for installing your decals, not to mention the layout of the site.

As Robert has said, mainly depends on your budget. The Cadet from B&P would probably do the trick, but then there are so many makes and models of printer/cutters, its highly probable that you’d need to get the specs for all of them before making a decision. Are you based in New York?

Hope you enjoy the boards and heres hoping you’ll upload some piccies of your custom decals 😀

    Cheers, Dewi

    Hi guys,

Thanks for tyring to help, we are looking at spending less than ten k if possible. We are looking to print full car size graphics. We do custom airbrushing for customers also, although we don’t advertise it as we just don’t have enough artist to cope with the local work we get. The reason for the printer cutter, would be to reproduce as best we can some of the airbrush jobs onto vinyl at a greatly reduced price and more for the mainstream market. Again it would need to be weather resistant, can i get this from these printers without lamination, as this would make it far harder to fit for us and our mail order customers???

Any help would be great, thanks in advance guys…

sorry if this is a daft question, just dont want to advise you on the wrong thing. 😕

i should have been more discriptive, we want to print image say max midth 500-600 mm by max length of 3500 mm so the full length of a car.
