All I can find reference to is a T1010 SL. Is this the one?

I have a summagraphics D610 – smaller version and drag knife (instead of tangential knife – which is supposed to be better). I’ve used it for 8 years – it’s a real work horse. I would have no hesitation in reccomending it:D

Phil, the T1000 is very different than your D610.

In my experience the T1000 is a bit of a nightmare 😥

I always thought the T1000 was the robot guy in the first Terminator film 😕 😮

Ok, so I am as daft as I look

    Cheers, Dewi

if its in very good nick and cheep could the drag knife be fitted then you would have the advantages of both. i have run both in the past and tangental is not nessasary for normal sign use

    Hi Chris,
I think it would be wise to choose the Roland or Graphtec rather than an old T1000. I used to use one years back at a company i worked for and we were always having to call a strange looking maintenance guy out to sort it (always wore wierd hats and sandals). They still have the old T1000 boxed and in bits.
The company changed to Rolands which worked non stop with few problems, i now have a Graphtec FC4100 which i feel is a better machine still.
    Hope this is of use.

yes mike i also am a fan of roland & graphtec but i said

    quote :

if its in very good nick and cheep

normally the bigger rolands & graphtecs s/hand dont come to cheep do they.
any way the man has said no thank you, i was just offering a idea

tangental or drag, the graphtecs do both.
tangental is a great feature for cutting small text as it cuts very accurate and helps with weeding. i maybe wrong but i think it is also required for cutting thick materials too..
i have a 48inch wode roland cutter & a graphtec 54 inch wide cutter at the moment, i would say the graphtec is the better made machine and has much more features.
