  • where can I source images for print jobs?

I was wondering where you guys get your images for the majority of your print jobs?

I have seen a few websites suggested in the forums but they seem to work out quite expensive! Is there good CD’s with a reasonable one off cost or is it better to use these type of sites?

    Any help much appreciated!

There are discs available with various themes, I have bought several in the past, but hardly ever found an image on them that is what I or the customer wants.
much better to buy from istock or similar on an as you need basis, you can also get your customer to choose the image that they prefer (just make sure you tell them high res)
£10-£20 gets some good images, (restricted use) pretty cheap if you compare to some of the "Pro" sites like alamo and getty who want hundreds for a restricted license

thanks guys I have been looking on IStock, fotolia and dreamstime so I’ll just go with downloads! I thought it was probably the best but just wanted a few more opinions.

    Cheers again

    Hi Ruairi.

A good place to start looking is

    http://www.photoxpress.com/

They have a reasonable amount of images for FREE !!!!

If you can’t find what your looking for the premium section always does.

    Worth a look.
