    Afternoon All
I’m trying to find an edgelit unit to take an 8mm reverse engraved panel at 1600mm wide.
I know that Insight do these but guess what, they close for their summer holidays on friday and cannot supply until mid-august. Anyone know of an alternative? Thanks, Kev.

Edgelit at 1600mm is going to be real problematic if its that size squared , we do a ton of that type of stuff and I dont know of a light source that would transmit that “deep”if it is only lit from one side?
for that type of thing , we would use an anodised “H” channel and use superbright 6mm white LEds , drilled and sunk flush into the channle at about 5cm distances and would frame the whole thing with this (all 4 sides) and I would STILL worry about the centre?
Normally we use an extrusion with a cold tube type light for much smaller stuff. We never do edgelit higher than about 4-500 mm from the source of light.

Thanks for that Rodney. The depth is only 500mm so i’m not to worried. Still looking for the unit itself though. Tried Westward plastics and i’m not getting much joy from them. Any other suppliers out there???
    Thanks, Kev.
