    hi gray
i always use the vinyl. i find it the fastest way to get the job out. i do realise it can be a little more expensive sometimes.
but i think when you take into account the time taken inking and making stencil etc it
levels the costs out a bit.
i used to use sericol inks for all my work now i just use them for the odd curtain sider truck. the good thing about inks is you just mix them to make the colours. but with vinyls your limited to the colour range.

i use a range from Europoint Display Gray.
They supply me with oracal vinyl. its very good and we get the best prices around because we are buying as a group.

i know you can get oracal in the states as they advertise in signcraft. they are on this months issues back page.

    best of luck mate

    Hi gray
Another personal pic on the boards. Great mate thanks for that.
Eh Joe where the hells yours mate. 😆

As for the vinyl. I haven’t heard of calon gray is it good?
I must say this though I used Avery vinyl for the first time in a long while last week.
In fairness I don’t know what grade I was using as it was supplied by another company for me to fit on a van. It was terrible. I don’t just mean applying wasn’t up to scratch but the surface of the vinyl was pitted and in some areas shiny smooth. Looked very odd.
Im not sure though about the Avery banner vinyl gray as ive never used it at all.
Do you or have you had same sort of defects on the surface of the vinyl you use. This being vehicle vinyl not banner.
would be interesting to see if you have.
