I need to send a logo to a client so that they can use it on letterheads, posters etc.
The client doesn’t have Corel or other design software…….whats the best way to do this jpeg? Is there a way to send it so it isn’t in a box?…..hope that makes sense.
    Thanks

pdf? i think word can import a pdf.

you could possible try cropping a jpeg with a shape tool. my letter head is simply a logo i drew in corel and captured, then imported into word. if printing onto white paper, it’ll make no odds,

if they’re gonna send the artwork to a printer, then i’d suggest exporting as a pdf for pre-press in corel.

Hugh: when you say ‘capture’ what exactly do you mean?

literally that, i capture an image from the screen, you can do the shift prt scr key and paste into a paint program etc, but better…

go to oldverson.com, download paint shop pro v7,

when installed, open it, press shift and C together and the screen minimises,

go to the corner of the image you want to capture, right click, and a cross appears,

left click and drag a box over to the opposite corner,

left click again and it imports the encapsulated area into pspv7,

you then simply save it. it’s the quickest way of grabbing a ‘ready to go’ screen shot i’ve found. no need to edit after, just save as jpeg and your ready to send!

pspV7 has a real good browse function too, when you install it, make sure to have eps selected and it’llo view all your eps files / clip art etc, much much quicker than adobe bridge and others i’ve tried.

Try a GIF with a transparent background. Just about anything will IMPORT a transparent GIF. SOME programs will allow you to make them…Photoshop for example.
