Need some advice on the best way of exporting Corel x3 files to Omega ( 2004 version ) for using on my Gerber edge 1.

My normal way is to export as Corel exchange version 5 – which worked well up until corel 12.

Once corel 12 appeared we had to save the file as version 11 and from corel 11 – export as Corel exchange version 5 transfer.

I use this version as we can open the correct edge foil reference in Omega as they were set up in Corel.

I have had to reload my PC – and noticed that I no longer have version 11.

Looking into this further the only problem with x3 to Omega is that if I transfer anything over 1.6m approx – the nodes get thrown all over the place.

Does anybody know of a better way , or do I need to change a page size setting somewhere ????????????

Have you tried saving your Corel X3 file as Corel version 8 and then Omega has a filter to import up to version 8.

    Frank thanks for that.

Yes tried that, it works but the only problem I find is that there is no colour conversion options on open – so the whole file opens as CMYK.

I then have to re enter the foil colours in omega.
