I don’t know suppliers in the UK but use clear tape here all the time, have tried loads thought I liked R tapes AT 60 but find that Politapes clear to be the best….thats just me, but I haven’t bought papertape in years 🙂

clear app is great for lining up jobs, but i am afriad i hate the stuff :lol1:
not because its bad in anyway, just self preference, everyone gets a feel for what they like and stick with it.
i prefer paper app tape & i buy the oracal stuff…watch for the type of app tape you buy… there is some real crap out there…
i have done vinyl apps on vehicles were i spend longer stri[[ing the app tape than i do actually applying the vinyl… be warned… buy the best you can afford and keep to it. 😉
i think £60 a full 48 inch log is about right on a good make of app tape its then slit to any size you need from that log.
europoint sell individual sized logs though so you just buy what you need at whatever size. -
we tend not too use clear app tape most we have tried have too much static before you know it your graphic has luanched it’s self at it
just use plain paper app. med tach.Lynn (not Peter)

Hi,
I prefer to use R Tape 4075RLA, it’s a very clever tape that allows graphics to be rolled up without any crinkling or tunneling – great if graphics need to be sent out to customers. I buy a 1220mm log and have it slit to 2 x 610’s
Clear tape is something I have used but stay away from now, too much static for my liking.
Quick tip – running a metal ruler along both sides of the unwound clear tape removes most if not all of the static.
