  • What Shane Drew is up to in the UK

Posted by David Lowery on April 25, 2009 at 5:42 am

Thought I would start this thread to let Mrs Drew know what’s happening to her hubby whilst he is "out of sight". 😉 She may just be logging on the site as a visitor to keep her eye on him so I have put this thread in the public domain 😀

He got drunk on the plane! *drink*

He chatted up the stewardess!

Please feel free to add anything else he gets up to in the UK :lol1:

Jill, I think you will be the one to be jetlagged. When are you leaving the US of A.
Look forward to meeting you again! 😀

My thanks to Pete and Lynn for a very special day
    Well Done
    Much Appreciated

It was supposed to be raining all day but we had great weather and good visibility from the London Eye (that was one big Ipod)

We saw the Docklands, the Dome, crossed the Woolich Ferry and went through Greenwich and got stuck in the pre marathon traffic before moving onto the more well known London spots

It was nice to have everyone pop back to my place for a coffee

I was going to order a curry (honest!) but Pete and Lynn had to get back quick to sort their dogs out

    Hey Friends,

Leaving for BH in a few minutes.

Its been a blast so far. Peter & Lynn have treated us very well, and frankly, spoilt us rotten.

It was a blast seeing John and Gill Singh, as that was a total surprise. It was icing on a very special cake for the day. Then the London Eye was a surprise too. Hard to explain how much I appreciate all the support.

Been staying with John and Jenny Childs, who have been very kind and very accommodating. Jenny is a lovely lady and a brilliant cook.

Had a chance to have some time with their staff and learn some techniques, and had some time with Peter M as well.

Met Jillbeans for the first time last night. She is an absolute sweatheart with a wicked sense of humour! 🙂

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the show. Dave and I are having a great time so far.

    Take care

    Shane

    Hi friends.

    I’ve got home safely.

Man, that is one long trip. I suspect the jet lag will get me this time. Didn’t worry me going over, but can’t say the same about coming home.

I’m pretty knackered. Too tired to make any intelligent comments at the moment, suffice to say that photos will be uploaded soon.

Just want to say thanks for every ones kindness and support.

I’ll catch up again once I’ve had some shut eye. 😉

Glad you are home in one piece, Shane.
Thanks so much for the book and the TimTams and all the good memories.
It was great to finally meet you, even boss you around a bit (you know I can’t help it, it’s the wife/mom in me!) You took it all in stride.
Hope you are not too jetlagged, man it’s awful, isn’t it, and me only 5 hours difference.
I know you missed your family, I am sure you are glad to be home with them.
This probably all seems like a big dream.
Thanks so much for coming over.
(and again thanks to everyone for everything, except Rob for that last drink)
    Love….Jill

    Thanks Friends.

Arrived home, went to bed…. woke up crook as a dog. Slept for about 30 hours since I got back. The wife is a bit worried 😕

I’ve checked my emails today. A few disasters while I was away. I’m off to bed again…. I’ll worry about them later.

    Talk soon…

    Cheers
    Shane

Don’t know about refreshed…. slept for 12 hours…. still feel crap 🙂 It must have been all the grog you guys forced me to drink!! 🙂

Two companies that were supposed to help me while I was away….

One guy didn’t return any calls to my clients while I was away, and my fitter was railroaded by an interstate client who open a kit I had sent to him for my fitters to install in my absence. Looks like the client then opened the kit for a sticky beak and misplaced/lost some of the signs, and blamed me for not sending them. The fitter arrived and was unable to complete the task, now I have to redo the kit, cover the expenses for overnight air freight, and also pay the fitter to go back 🙁

Looks like I’ll have some fires to put out on monday morning…. 👿

Dave Lowery used his wit and charm to lure me into a false sense of security. Once I had it on my head to check the size, he whipped out his camera and boom….. the paparazzi were all over me :lol1:

Its on the way to be block mounted as we speak…. well almost…. I have to wait for the framer to open yet…

My dad saw the hat for the first time this morning…. made his day…. He’s already told his friends I’m a turn coat… 😮
