Hi Phill,
I personally use Adobe Acrobat Professional. Suppose it really depends on how often you’d use it and what for as to which one you get. If its a one off and you only want to export pdf’s from word you could have a look at Cute PDF. I can’t comment on it as I’ve not used it but its a free download so if its rubbish bin it.

I’ve seen cute pdf mentioned a few times here I think. It has some good reviews. I don’t use word at all, only corel, but plenty of pdf converters out there, good if they are free tho 😉

I’m pretty sure but not 100% that ‘open office’ which is a free (LEGITIMATE) alternative to ‘office’ has that facility build in.
It is totally cross compatible with Word, Excel rtc. Easy to find a download online.

Haven’t used it for years, but it’s easy to download from smewhere.
Failing that, as mentioned the Acrobat Pro route is the way to go for MS software.

Thanks for all the replies.
I downloaded cutepdf as suggested by Debbie and this has worked fine. Best of all it was free.
Thanks again 😀

My copy of Word (Mac) has a "print to pdf" option in the print dialogue box.
Is that not in the pc version?

I use PDF Creator. Its a sourceforge project. Fully functional and free. No nags or watermarks. Like Jaws it just installs as a printer. Nothing wrong with it if you want a simple pdf document. I don’t think it does bookmarks and chapters and stuff like that but what it does it does well.
Check it out here.

David is correct. Openoffice has this facility built and a lot more useful features which puts it head and shoulders above Word. Best of all its completely free so you can have legitimate versions on all your PCs. We have been using it for a year now and have found few problems. You can find it here
Oh, and poor old Bill Gates doesn’t get a penny 😀

Thanks for the link colin… I used this years ago, and lost it in a system crash. Brilliant program for free. I’ve just downloaded another copy.
Cheers mate
