what purpose does the media bascket serve please?
Hi all,
this could be a very stupid question, but what is the advantage of the deluxe Summa stands with media baskets, over the standard ones without? What purpose does the media basket serve? as when finished cutting the plotter holds the vinyl until you remove it ?

It’s more to do with keeping the material clean whilst it is passing back and forth whilst cutting. Also they allow the vinyl to fall and pile neatly without snagging on things on the floor, which can cause it to run off course in the machine. I think they’re OK but expensive, which is why I use a big cardboard box.
