  • What printable wrap material are you using.

We are currently using 3M SV480 on our Mutoh Valuejet.

I have two issues with this material one is the cost and the other is that I don’t think this material is suitable for an eco solvent machine. Even though 3M do supply the correct material.
I have issues with the ink causing the material to look as if is melting it.
This is not a profile issue.

I have used Arlon and Averys wrap but have found that it takes a lot longer to position and apply.
    Anyones help on this please?

Arlon SLX is the best by a mile at the minute. Get a HP Latex only job for printing wraps [emoji1362] Solvent is finished for wraps.

Arlon, Avery, 3M, Oracal… all great wrapping films.

It is upto you to choose which works best for you. whether that is print quality or how the media handles for you during application. Is all down to self preference…

Buy what works "best for you". Do not buy based on media price…
In my opinion, if you are worrying about losing the price of the media in your jobs, your most likely pricing the job wrong.

    quote Bernard Gallagher:

    Solvent is finished for wraps.

Solvent prints on wrapping films can have an array of issues that can occur because the correct manufacturing process has "not been followed" by sign makers. But reality is, solvent done correct, has by far the longest track record globally… Yes outgassing slows the process up no end, but the process of Latex wraps is also now being extended more and more these days "by manufacturers".
