what material is used for sun visors?

I just use standard 5-7 year vinyl.

If you’re applying it as a sunstrip do it slightly wet, and tuck a little under the rubber. For straight forward lettering apply dry, ‘cos otherwise it takes forever before you can remove the app tape.

I usually put sunstrips on the outside of the window, firstly because of the colour changing slightly due to the tint of the glass if it’s inside. Secondly so I don’t have to trim around mirrors.

Boy racers are a pain in the rear end, one day i had a good client
in the showroom discussing new image for 7 trucks and two buildings
along came a spotty 18 year old, wheels spinning in an old xr2 wanting no fear stickers, they have no manners and degrade your business in an instance, i told him he had come to the wrong place, these idiots can do more harm to your image than the odd £20 here and there makes you.
I would suggust if anybody wants to do it this market, do it by mail order
then you dont ever see these idiots and let them apply the visors/ graphics and muck it up and reorder

OOOppps sounds like phil has had a bad experience, probably with spotty vauxhall nova driving 17 year olds, get the same kids myself, I sell them a bit of vinyl about 48″ x12 for £10 & if they want it fitting its £30 per hour, where do these kids get their money from?, gonna sound like me grandad now, when I was 17 my weekly wage for 40 hours was £23, how do these little buggers afford cars?

Saying that I do quite a lot of graphics for a lad with a modified citroen saxo. If anything he has helped, he’s spoken to the fella that does the kits and he is going to ring me sometime this week to discuss getting the graphics in bulk from us!! RESULT

I’ve just done some stickers using Static Window Cling. Worked wonderfully through the PC60. Seem to remember using something similar many years ago when I had the Cooper, saves having the visor in the way. Got it from Victory Designs but they only have it in white or clear.

did they splice the 1m roll in half for you, the lad who I placed my last order with said that they would but then when it arrived it was still 1m wide, a good way to cut it down is to use a power mitre box BUT turn off the smoke alarms first (I forget and set all the flashing strobes in the engraving rooms off!) I agree though it is a brilliant product, we do hundreds of window stickers on it, our last order:

Yes Andy they’d spliced the roll. Arrived nearly bagged in two 500mm. Not quite as many or as much for one of the jobs I’ve done on it. But left me with plenty of profit making for other stickers 😀
