what layout can i use for this speed boat?
any interesting ideas much appreciated…….. [or links for inspiration]
was thinking silver……. going to the med and the black will burn up! about 14m. with design on topside…Cheers

it’s a customers…..
he’s sold it but the customer wants graphics and was wanting to see a couple of layouts……..
If I do something good he’ll go with it.Will post a layout over the weekend [can be anything, no restriction] would still appreciate any ideas [written or visual]

Call me strange if you like but how about a camoflage pattern only done in chrome and some other colours along the sides? You wouldn’t want to blind yourself from the bridge while you drink your G&T so how about a black and white chequered pattern like a chess board or a huge print of Pamela Anderson (or your choice here) spreadeagled on the front doing some sunbaking? Or fluorecent chevrons to make it look like some flash rescue boat or completely chrome down the sides like it’s something out of the Abyss. Cool yeh.
Tell me if I should stick to knitting.

I wouldn’t do anything with out some sort of commitment from him that you will be paid even if he doesn’t like your ideas.

Phill I will spend an hour or 2 doing something. the main customer is very good at giving us work so I’m prepared to spend a bit of time….will show a pic how it looked before.

I have something ready to show you it took me 10 minutes to 15 max
That’s what i had in mined and i LOVE black and i think it goes with everything i will send to you in 10 minutes.

Do you remember seeing a pic that Shane Drew sent of a bus with a shark graphic where the doors were. Try and find that and imagine that big shark with the tip of its nose being the tip of the boat – that’d be kind of cool too.

looks really good nancy. i like the top view the best… like the way the checks are waving/blending… colour choice is good too… obviously water/blue etc works!

yes did open it Nancy looks smart what sort of vinyl would you use ? they are a bit like the swooshes Nik was saying earlier(front bits)

Regarding the Vinyl Depends how much the client want to spend and if he wants it to last long
I would say he should see his options
And laminate definitely salty water eats away colors and sun so UV colors and Laminate .

i know nancy and andy were right in there with great examples… i was stuck on something to base the idea on from kick off 😕 i was calling it black ice, and allsorts… then i needed my bed :lol1:
