  • what is the standared material width for grenadier?

I have never used such narrow material in my Grenadier, however I have two banners to print one 12 m and the other 18 m would normally print side by side as only 600 wide but in this case would mean wasting 6 m of material and customer in no rush so bought a roll of 750 wide banner.
3 Head crashes later works out that the when loaded normally the left edge (view from front) is only just under a roller and within a meter or two the rollers push the edge of material out causing the whole edge to lift and head hits it, I solved problem by taking off rear flange and putting a roll of insulation tape on spindle first moving roll over by about 10 m/m, only problem now is this profile has a confidence strip and 4 of the colours are missing the edge of vinyl causing a build up on printer bed.
My question is is this a problem with Roland design or is 750 not a standard width ? as this has caused my a lot of delay and mess.

i run 760mm on my Soljet no problems, if i remember correctly i move the first pinch roller (one nearest head) across away from the edge so that the roll fits nicely between that pinch roller & the one on the opposite side of the roll, i don’t use the intermediate rollers on the narrow rolls.

Thanks for reply Kevin, I was unaware that the first pinch roller moved, I will look Monday when in the office, you run 760 if my material had been 760 there would not have been any problems as there would have been 11m/m under pinch roller not 1m/m. This is why I question the 750 size as being non standared, my normal banner materials I use are about 1.2 and 1.8 wide and never had problem with pinch roller lining up on these sizes.

Depending on which supplier you use it comes in 750 or 760mm
If you use Hexis you get 760 or Metamark you get 750mm (or maybe the other way round 😳 )
