It depends on what version of programme I use Signlab 5 and Corel 10 on W2000. Export as AI (low version say V4) from Corel to Signlab and drawing will come in in colour, in the Draw dialogue box ensure options such as simulate outline effects and simulate complex filled curves are OFF this will prevent construction lines on Os es etc. EPS from Draw comes in ok but seems to be only black and white. If you convert text to curves in Draw cut and paste works too. From Signlab to Draw – Export as eps when in draw you may find that the first and last node are not joined, not a problem until you put a extrude or similar on it, remedy is to ungroup and weld then auto close curve.
Hope this helps

Thanks.
That’s what I’ve been doing for years! Exporting as an ai to Corel but with E6 this doesn’t work……… I’ve tried converting text to graphics and exporting as an ai or eps but when it opens in Corel it’s in bits! 😥 Corel to E6 is no problem at all, but the other way around is. I do a lot of work for other sign companies who do not run Signlab so I need to send it back to them in Corel format,. -
I run Corel 11.
When my file imports, for example a vehicle outline with graphics on, the vehicle is perfect but all the text is incomplete, with letters missing etc. I’ve tried converting text to graphics but it makes no difference. Don’t know what else to try…. it’s driving me nuts!!!! With Signlab 5 there was never a problem with this.Marcella.

Make sure everything is ungrouped and try that. I’m on Signlab5 and Corel 10 so I can’t try this end. If still no luck check out Cadlinks site for any patches it may be one of there known issues.

Hi Marcella, Have had a play with e6 and Corel12, and I’m assuming what works here will work with Corel11/10 etc. The best way of getting all objects intact to Corel is to use the Print and Cut, and have the “Postscript sent” option set to “Output to disk”. This will create a PS file which will open in Corel with all parts intact.
SL5.0 and earlier users could try installing a windows postscript printer,(HP3500 CP) set the port to file and use the print option in SL to create PS files.Ray
