Could someone please tell me the difference between the Optical Sensor and the Auto Registration Mark Sensor on the Graphtec CE3000/60 cutter.
    Many Thanks

If you don’t have a digital printer you don’t have to worry about either.
The optical sensor is one were you have to manually line it up over your registration marks, the other one does it automatically. ( I think )

    hi Marek & Jem

Thanks for your replies, I was just wondering what the difference was as I will be feeding printed media through it from a normal inkjet.
Just wondering if I need registration or if optical would suffice.

    Many Thanks

    Hi ,

The Ce3000-60 Mk2 comes with registration mark sensor as standard, the names for this sensor varies from make to make “optical , ARM ,OPUS etc,
there is a manual method that can be done, using a loupe or a pen,

the Ce3000 has an Ilustrator plugin for mac and pc (CS2 end of August)

    , and a windows driver,

and I think very soon they will be having a corel draw plugin,

the FC7000 series all now have the regi sensors as standard also.

They use 2, 3 or 4 regi marks on the printed job and the FC7000 can use

extra marks on long jobs for greater accuracy.

    sorry to go on

Hi again you posted before i rambled on ,

for contour cutting your prints the standard CE3000-60 Mk2 with arm will do the job, no problem.
