when you say “need it to be capable to cover wide range of jobs”
what do you mean? all vinyl, routering, printing etc?

What exactly do you want to do with it John?

I bought a copy of FlexiCut some years ago but found it far too difficult and complicated to use. It lasted a couple of days before I binned it in favour of something more appropriate to our needs.

That’s not to say that you shouldn’t buy it, but I can’t comment without knowing what you want it to do.

CutLine from http://www.illom.se but don’t forget that we use Macs.

Currently experimenting with FineCut (as an Illustrator plug-in), which is
PC or Mac, and so far am quite pleased with it. That will probably be the route we take when we are forced to scrap our OS9 machines and move up to OSX.

    John,
if you are forced to scrap your machines, perhaps you should submit, and change to pc 😀

far better for signs, more the standard nowadays.

I have ducked down to avoid the brick bat (!)

I’m using some supplied with one of the cutter but also have a corel draw plug in, But think plug in for illustrator might be the way to go better than corel draw.

Coral with a plug in will probably serve your needs, Dedicated sign programs like flexi and signlab are excellent but a can be expensive if you want the print and cut pakages.

What sort of thermal printer are you going to use to print banners?

    John,

For banners you will need inkjet, thermal aren’t suitable for banners,
