  • What I did today…70′ in the air!

Posted by Jill Marie Welsh on August 4, 2009 at 11:26 pm

    Company insisted on a repaint.
My brother works for a sign maintenance and repair company and he subcontracted me. That’s him in the yellow shirt.
I did one side of this 1979 metal 10’x20′ sign, tomorrow if I can still move I will do the other side.
    Worked 8-5.
There are a few drips but you can’t see them from the parking lot.
    Love….Jill

Takes some nerve swaying about in one of those – not for the feint hearted.

    Q. Why do women always paint their hands when using a paint brush 😉

Up and ready to get ready.
I feel like a chicken who had one of its wings torn off!
I bid on three days for this job but I think I can only stand one more day.
Maybe if I wear gloves today the sweat on my hands will act as a paint remover?
    😉

    I’m done! I’m done!
    A day early even.
I think I am gonna have to take tomorrow off.
Everyone else thinks I will be working anyway.
I know this pic is awful but I just wanted to prove it was really me up there.

you wouldn’t beleive the amount of H&S/risk assessments we would have to go thru to do that.

well done Jill. I’ve done a job inside at half that height, in the centre of an atrium, not keen about doing it outside in the wind at twice the height.

On the second day, my get up an go would have got up and gone in the night. 😮

    Thanks everybody.
No sandwich not even a Frosty.
The grease smell kind of made me queasy.
I wanted a cup of coffee but then it would be too much of a pain to get back down to go wee.
Peter, I never saw that building, it must have been across the street.
    Beside this maybe.
