I think that’s what it’s going to take Harry.

She’s been with her boyfriend Paul for about eight years now but there is no sign of any impending nuptials. I’ve tried everything, currently playing the guilt card – depriving her old dad of the pleasure of giving away the hand of his daughter. I don’t think it’s working. *rofl*

Actually, a Bentley, and I would agree with the estimate of age, although I was too busy to talk to the driver to check.

It was an exceptional car and ran beautifully. Totally silent and a complete absence of the sort of mechanical noises, like clunking into first gear, that is usually present in machinery of that age. The owner had restored it himself and made an exceptional job of it.

Lynn, thanks for the thought. I’m joking really, and whether to get married or not is entirely their decision. I know exactly what you mean about the cost, and I once told her I would give her a couple of grand to elope because it would be cheaper but, in reality, to walk my daughter up the aisle is a privilege for which I would happily pay.
