What form does the new upgrade come in do I get a new dongle
I have been using Signlab 4.95 since it came out brilliant software. am in the process of buying a new computer that will be using XP hence I will need to update to Signlab 7.1.What form does the new upgrade come in do I get a new dongle & will I still be able to access my 4.95 files.
I have been quoted £600+vat for the update from Brian

not sure on prices but yes, you can access all old files from 4.95 just not vice versa. have a go on the signlab demo first. the page layout is the only thing i dont like but thats just something to get used too i guess…
as i said, have a play with version 7. im sure its free to download or brian will send you a disk. -

You will notice a huge difference between V7.1 and 4.95 but it still has the the Signlab ‘feel’ I sometimes get an error message loading old files but re-opening them seems to clear it ok and I have never had a file I couldn’t open. If you use Type 1 fonts in your 4.95 files you may find some different sizing when opening in something later, TT and VEF fonts seem fine. Overall I think you will appreciate the extra features that V7.1 offers once you get used to it. Have a look at http://www.cottonwoodsw.com and FileEx – it works very well with Signlab.
