Hi, we got two dust extractions for the workshop.. however we was cutting a lot of MDF and managed to suck up MDF that caught fire while someone popped outside for about 10minutes, next thing we know our CNC Dustbin extractor had caught fire as well as our CNC head no. one.

So we are on another extractor but this again really is an open unit, which means that if something got caught inside the bags another fire could happen.

We had a version similar to this one, it has two power buttons on it for two motors.

We are temporary using this one http://www.axminster.co.uk/product-Axmi … -21168.htm which shouldn’t really be used with a CNC as if metals get near wood dust in the bag, it will catch fire as air can breath through the bags while the tin one is enclosed.

So my question… With you CNC, what extractor are you using and how are you getting on with it? We need to replace ours soon
