I am using a Graphtec ce5000 with coreldraw
    Thanks guys

Were you using a heavy’ish roll of vinyl and what speed were you cutting at?

    Hiya,

Right now, when i said i was getting to grips with it all.. I meant it litterally.

The roll of vinyl is Ri-Mark brand , i don’t think it’s anything special but speed?? not sure with that one.. Sorry to be such a numpty..

Hi Jo, are you using a full or fairly empty roll of vinyl. If so the plotter won’t pull it thru if running at a fast speed.

Graphtec plotters have a speed setting on the control panel!!

    Ahhh
Ok The roll is quite a full roll, I have pulled enough vinyl through, So i think it will be ok but how do i resume cuttin.. It stopped cutting half way through and has been on standby ever since,

    Thanks again

That’s the downside Jo, you’ll have to cut reset the plotter and cut again or you may be able to salvage some of the lettering and just recut what you need too.

At least I’ve never been able to continue cutting after this has happened!!

In the future set the plotter to a low speed like ‘5’ or just unroll enough vinyl as you’ve already done.

does the graphtec not feed out more than it needs before cutting? surely it doesn’t just pull direct from the roll as it’s cutting? what i mean is.. my summa will pull thru about 30" or so before cutting, but if the cut is longer than 30", it’ll stop after 18" and feed extra material thru to check it’s there, and relieve pressure on the grit rollers, does a graphtec not do this?
