    Hi all,
Here’s one I’m doing at the moment. It’s all going to be cut vinyl ( the top design in the photo) on 10mm foamalux. There are 3 signs in all – 2 at 20′ x 3′ and one 16′ x 4′. The design took a bit of tweaking but the client loves it. The brief was for a memorable sign and they wanted water as the background. Mike the sign did the digital version which I really like, but the customer went for the cut vinyl one! 😥
Lotsa weeding of different blue blobs to do yet!
As a possible help to you all, after they finalised the design, they were unsure that the effect would work so I did a scale model about 3′ wide and they were sold!
    Feel free to criticise.
    cheers Joe

    I like both of them.

How did you achieve the water effect?

    Hi john,
I found a photo of water on the web and spent 2 hours tracing it with the mouse….It’s only 3 different shades of oracal 751…took a bit of playing to get the colourd right…I’ll post a photo of the scale model tonight.
    Cheers
    Joe

    …I prefer the bottom one too!… 😉

can’t wait to see the sample Joe. from what you said to me before it wasn’t too hard to make but had great impact…I imagine it would!

I can’t remember, did you ‘overlay’ (layers) or ‘inlay’ (like a jigsaw puzzle)?

I think they are both excellent designs but I also prefer the bottom one, I personally think the top one looks a little cold which is obviously not to good for a company selling hot tubs.

…can I just draw everyones attention away from the signs for a moment and ask you to concentrate on the original image at the top of this post – the one where joe shows the two original designs…

I’m looking in particular at the little icon third from the right at the top of the screen? 😮

Do all versions of ‘Vinyl Master Pro’ come with a special emergency phallus button like this? 😳

What do you suppose happens if you click on it?

Does anything drop down when you hold your mouse over it?

    Is it an add-on? or a strap-on?

Is the end meant to be red? – or does this only happen with regular use?

    Ah………grasshopper
That’s the instant d*ckhead design module….for instant signmakers.
When you press it every design is red helvetica with a black outline/huge drop shadow. It enables you to do vans for £70 as well.
“do you do them stickers mate?……”
    😆
