  • What do you pay for sheet materials

I am curious as to wether I get a good deal on sheet materials. A couple of prices I pay are as follows

    5mm coloured foam £27 (8′ x4′)
    3mm dibond £60 (8′ x 4′)

I have also been offered a cheap aluminium dibond type board, it is much thicker about 5mm at a guess and is only £39 for an 8′ x 4′ sheet. Has anyone tried this, I think its called Alupanel. Is it any good??

    Alu-Panel:

Can’t say I have – but sounds a good price especially as it 5mm
Why not get a sheet and try it out

    Then you can tell us

(Unless of course someone here has already tried the stuff)

By the way are you including VAT in your prices?

dibond has come down allot in price since the introduction of alucolour & rynabond.

if i am right i got samples from europoint this morning with new prices based on this (i think it was anyway) am i right in saying it only comes in a handful of shades, silver and brushed alluminium, cream, white and 1 or 2 that wont be stocked?

again, i may have wrong material but sounds the same one. 🙄

I have included VAT in all prices and rounded to the nearest pound.

The Alupanel comes in about 8 colours plus white. The only problem is you need to order 10 sheets at a time. I might get some and try it to see if it is any good. I think it comes from Perspex Distribution, the trade wide format printer down the road from me pointed me towards it.
