    Hi all,
just picked up an easymount 720, had very little use by the looks of it but has been stored for a while, there’s a bit of muck / a few gluey marks on the rubber rollers, whats the best thing to clean this with??

also, I notices the feed roller bars are a little scabby, the chrome is going, and one bar has a slight wobble to it (bent), I can wrap the bars to protect the film but am uncertain of the bar will affect anything due to an inconsistent pressure right across the vinyl.

while I’m at it, can anyone recommend a good matt / gloss lam please? it’s mostly for posters / photo prints.

    thanks,
    Hugh

    Hi Hugh

You will be able to get a roller rubber block from most laminate suppliers. You basically rub the block on the rollers across the dried glue residue. After this I cover the rollers in mount film with the backing still on, let them spin a few times against each other then remove it taking all the sh1te with it. This is a generally good practice to do every couple of weeks to get rid of dust etc.

Dave, I wouldn’t really call it a treatment it’s just a certain type of rubber that takes the dried glue residue off with a bit of elbow grease! If you speak with your laminate suppliers i’m sure they will be able to help.
