  • What can i stick fluted board to foamex type board with?

    Hi there

I made a sign out of foamex board for a garden center last year, now they want me to stick a temporary strip over part of it for a promotion.

As the temporary bit is only on there until march i will use flute board.

I was just wondering what the best thing is to stick this flute board (around 1m long by 40cm high) to the foamex so that it can be removed and not damage the foamex sign underneath.

I might just use velcro strips as the flute board doesn’t have much weight, but just wanted to see if anybody could suggest something they use for this type of thing

    thank you!

the velcro strips require you to stick them to the sign and temp panel anyway.
its normally an aggressive adhesive on it too. so probably do more damage than prevent once removed.
personally, its a cheap sign they have asked for to begin with and a cheap update. ide either stick a strip ove vinyl over it or a few small screws through the face. its only going to leave a few small holes when its removed.

its the old story… if they want cheapo, they get cheap…

Ha ha, i know what you mean if they want cheap, give them cheap, but they think the sign is great! So i just wanted to look for some kind of adhesive that was easily removable instead of the aggresive as you say velcro adhesive.

I think i am looking for an option which doesn’t exist (as i often seem to be) or maybe not without buying in something especially which then defeats the object of being cheap anyway.

Maybe i’ll stick it on with a frame of white vinyl, that’s pretty cheap.

Thanks for making me see sense.
