  • what can i do with this miniture golf design?

I have been elected to design a logo for our new miniature golf course we are putting in here at work. This is what I have so far. The squirell I did in Illustrator from a picture of the actual LEGO squirell. The logo will be put onto golf apparel, toys, park maps, etc. so I would like it to look nice. All suggestions are welcome. Also, can someone help me with making an Illustrator file small enough to upload here? I turned all text into outlines and scaled the logo down to about 1"x1" and it is still over 400kb. Thanks in advance.

I like the first logo better than #2 , however the squirral does absolutly nothing for me.

The idea of making look like lego just makes it look like a very bad bitmap. I would go with a cheeky, cartoony chipmunky type of thingy.

(God I’m starting to sound like Jillbeans)

Sorry to be so down on this Marek, but im sure it will grow into something totally different,,,they usually do on here.

As for the Illustrator files……..I have no idea

    Cheers

    Hi Marek,

I think you either need to make the squirrel look even more legoey [if it’s not a real word it should be] and 3D brick like or go for something new..I would continue with the wee fella though.

regarding illustrator should have the save for web command….take it to any size you want…what version are you using?

    Cheers

I prefer the first design. I quite like the golf ball incorporated in the word … I feel it adds a fun factor to the logo and really gets across what its all about. The squirrel looks a little ummmmm …… scarey :lol1: sorry ….. he does need a bit of tweaking to make him look better.

Not a lot of help sorry 😀

I know what you guys mean. The problem I am having is “they” wanted to have the model of the squirrel vectorized, which is what I did. I did a few more designs before I got off work that are going in a different direction. Hopefully they will bite on one of those so I can get rid of the rodent. I took digital pictures of the real LEGO squirell and traced it out in Illustrator so it is an accurate portrayal of what will be out there but it does look weird, I have to agree with that. I’ll post what I have been working on tomorrow (without the squirrel) to get some more opinions. Thanks.
