    Hey guys,

I need to redo this job again: https://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=26902

Company changed names. We did this in Avery 900 vinyl last time. I think I want to have a crack at it with Avery 1005EZ RS (printed). The surface is flat it just curves which affects the application and not the performance of the vinyl I think.

    My question is this:

We want to print it as one piece so 3m by 1.3m and apply it in one go. I want to hinge it on the horizontal and do the top half first. With a wrap material can we keep a straight line once we hit the edge of the material? Or will I need some bleed area and cut a straight line on the vehicle? This is for the top and bottom parts of the sign. I hope this question makes sense and if it doesn’t I will attach an image of what I mean.

I know your thinking 3m that’s crazy but we can support the vinyl with a piece of aluminum along the top have two people support the vinyl and I will apply it nice even strokes right across the vehicle.

Hey Jason, why not hinge at the top and pull down the backing paper about 6 inches at a time as you squeegee? I would think the backing paper would hold the vinyl nicely away from the surface just as long as you don’t pull it down too far.
