  • What are you paying for your Cadet Cartridges?

Paying £65.00 + VAT for my 220cc cadet carts.

    This the average/fair price?.

I`m sure someone once mentioned to me that they paid £55.00. I could be wrong tho.

    Cheers

I have just heard that empty carts are classed as hazardous waste and should be disposed of in the correct manner. Can anyone tell the what the correct manner is?

Place hand on wheelie bin lid, lift in a vertically upward direction, throw cartridge in aperture created by the vertical lift on the lid and lob cartridge.

Man you guys in the UK have it pretty rough on ink prices. Here in the US the OEM carts are around $75 a cart (220ml), and the bulk inks run from $95-$145 a liter.

Yeh – Over here in SA a OEM Roland cart is GBP41 or so and I think THATS a total rip off !!!! The 15% price reduction we are promised with the new inks is a help , but no where NEAR the bulk prices of aftermarket stuff. We have to compete with folk whos ink costs per sq m are 1.50 quid or less at a level where ours can approach 5 quid.
I think we users of OEM carts are being punished for doing so – I also think guys that have converted Rolands are be even more punished by having to pay OEM cart prices or more for what are essentially aftermarket inks.
One of the main reasons to convert a machine to full or more agressive solvent inks is to enjoy the much cheaper ink prices.

It will work McRod, Our local Agents were at one time asking almost $100 a cart
I got a quote for $59 a cart from the USA based on 500 carts , told em Im gonna get a plane and go over with 2 empty suitcases , buy 500 and keep for myself and sell into their market cheaper than them and would still make a profit!!!
Next day the price of carts dropped to EXACTLY the US retail price (was about $75 at the time)

ah.. the list price of a JV3 220ml (now discontinued) is about £70 + vat (seems to be matching the cadet), but if you pressure your reseller or buy a number of them, you may get discounts.

i know america get a better deal
