what are peoples views on cadlink?
If anyone remembers ( or even cares about ) my original post a few months ago, where I was misinformed, misled, and sold a(nother) package by a Cadlink dealer at the full price and then was told to upgrade at almost an extra £400, when I was already an existing customer of Cadlink.
I think it was Brian who told me to contact them directly.
Outcome?
After a few Emails and a snotty FAX
Cadlink UK upgraded my useless £700 ES Composer to E6 Assistant today.
Well done Cadlink! and thanks also to Brian.Of course no thanks whatsoever to the dealer who’s taken around £12K off me this financial year alone, I won’t ever be or recommending anyone using you again.
Good to know for once you can rely on the actual company whom obviously have a conscience and good business sense quite unlike the reseller as in this case, whom has none.

I’ll now forget them and the matter.My point was Cadlink did the business, even though my contract and dispute (legally) was with the seller.
I think a company who *will* go all out to sort out problems stemming from their independent(?) dealers is to be applauded and worth dealing with.
They could have legally and rightfully said, ‘sort it out with the dealer, not our problem’ but they didn’t and were honourable.
I would now be upgrading to Colormaster if they hadn’t
had all my cash a few months ago.Cheers

i agree cadlink is well worth dealing with. take mikethesigns dispute abou them using his copyright material. designs he owns being used to advertise there wares…
few days later.. lovely cheque through the door and an apology to go with it.. well done them at cadlink once agian…as for the shropshire dick turpins.. they could be anyone..
im sure if you told them that the busiest uk sign site on the net is going to
have details of their dealings with you forever held in there archives for anyone to see. if they didnt sort your problem.. they would think twice..
as long as the whole story is 100% true. i wouldnt worry…
