How much, how much, how much patience can a person have. I can’t believe I’ve been self employed for 21 years now and still get out of bed in a morning.
I’m the mug who bought the versacamm from the t4ss2r on the boards who claimed it worked well, got it back to find it wouldn’t print any colour except black or near black. Asked that it was all paid for and was told yes it was but to find out it wasn’t and therefore didn’t carry a warranty. Asked bt to supply an internet connection and got a bill for £505.00 for 2 months, only to have to argue the toss and get it reduced to £29.00 per month (4 phone calls, 2 weeks).
Got my van broken into on friday night, down £1500.. plus vat tools.
Got bill last week week for versacamm repairs through Roland £1027.00 plus vat!
Post should be titled “Hero For Going To Work – Why Bother?” :headbang2:

Not sure why I wrote this post, maybe I’ll feel better that I shared it with you! I know, it’s a little selfish, but hey!

    C’est le vie,

    Mark.

It beats the crap out of working for da man! That’s what I told myself the other night when I finally trudged back home at midnight after standing by a plotter all night.

Anyway, I hope you feel better now Mark. Well done.

    Now get back to work!

They say bad luck comes in 3’s, lets hope you’ve had yours now, versacamm, BT and van break in. You deserve a medal for keeping going! 😀

Just a note: Transporting solvent printers is not an easy thing, the nozzles would possibly block and all the vibrations from transporting will upset the gravity fed system. Warranties are only 1 year long normally and some don’t cover the heads, however support contracts are normally sold and these can be expensive.

Sounds like u just had a difficult week, sorry to hear it. However the good news is that you got a new venture with a working Versacam and it will attract new business and you can print instead of cut designs out, which will be much easier.
