Not a bank holiday here either (they’re on holidays all the time!) but I’m off to Holland for my eldest nephew’s wedding……big gang going over so should be a weekend of beer and family politics! 😀

It’s just a regular weekend here.
Think I’ll go to the Strip District on Saturday.
    http://www.pittsburghneighborhoodtours. … sp?nHood=7
I need to buy blue items for my daughter’s upcoming baby shower.
I might go to the auction on Saturday night and buy a new bed.
(new in the 1930s I mean and just the frame not the mattress)

My old auction bed fell apart.
I would rather be with Peter and Lynn.
    Have fun!

Working….catching up on some outside signwriting jobs at a local hotel as
it’s been raining here all week 😕 Looks as though it’s going to brighten up today and tomorrow, phew.
The signs need to be finished for Tuesday so I’ll need to get my turbo brush out.

It’s a horrible day here too, bright (ish) spells between the rain, fairly cool too. I really hope Peter and Lynn don’t get too wet whilst they are staying on our camp site! Last time they were here it was glorious weather, sitting out all weekend. That’s not going to happen this time 😥
Jill, I wish you were here too.
Maybe we ought to make a new venue for the annual UKSB get together at my pub! (-) :lol1:

Happy holiday for all who get one this weekend, hope everyone else also has a good weekend.

    Lorraine

(Me, I shall be running around like a headless chicken! Back to the shop Tuesday for a rest!)

I won’t be crossing the pond again till 2012 but I would love to see your place Lorraine.
Lynn and Peter had a lovely time there I know.
Next weekend we are renting a house down in West Virginia, I might be dipping snuff by the time I return.
    😀

Gavin when you are self employed you can schedule jobs as you like!
I try never to work on weekends.
Well I did get the the strip district, had a beer by 8am, got a big hug by an old guy selling raffle tickets for the church, who told me I was pretty enough that I might have been homecoming queen.
    hahaha
I think he must have had cataracts.
Later I went to the auction but some b!tch bought my bed.
She was an auction rookie, and paid far too much for it.
She bought everything I bid on.
Today I am going to the river where my son has his boat docked @ Cheswick.
Will probably come home burnt to a crisp.

Hi Jill… I know …we do take parts of weekends off but we do have 2 businesses… We are involved with a great network marketing company as well as our signs.. life is always busy… Back in Zimbabwe we had a very successful engineering business and had to work all the time.. but we did do a 10 day trip to Botswana in 13 years!! workaholics you might call us..

also met another signboarder on Lorraine’s site, Adam with his family and very entertaining young son Mason 😎 hope your home safe Adam.

Well I reckon the prize for giving people the most entertainment for the weekend must go to Ozzie and Sue, Peter and Lynns Great Danes, people were entranced by them, and they were so well behaved.
Glad you got hope OK Lynn, was the coastal route good?

Adam and co left some time after you, hopefully they had a good journey home.

Lynn, I found a rather nice plant by the gate which doesn’t belong to us- do you know anything about it?

That is strange, whoever would leave a nice plant on a camp site?! 😀
Maybe it was the film crew who left Friday night…..or maybe I’ll never know! I’ll leave it there and see if it is claimed!

    Very strange Lynn!

That website run by Sue, who you met over the weekend (for info on the Norfolk Broads) is http://www.thenorfolkbroads.org
Then go to ‘the forum’ for chat, voting and information.
