Bizarre! 😮 I was under the impression they were for transfer to fabric as well 😕

Do they print onto standard vinyl? If so, is the print quality/texture any different or (?)

Haven’t got any wax ribbons here or I’d try this, but have you got any lining paper lying around? You could always try printing them onto the paper, and see if they stick sort of thing 😕

Just done a quick search on the net and one site says they’re for giving a glossy finish to print, another says they’re for transfer to fabric 😕 I always assumed resin would work on both matt and gloss vinyl, possibly on paper 😕

Did you get them from PrintOne?

Wax as far as I know is for paper printing …. I think?? 😀 Im not sure what type of paper ….. but whoever you purchased the ribbons from should surely know what media should be used?? But then again some suppliers arent always very helpful?

Is that the one where you use app tape on the back of the card for a carrier or do you have to buy special cards?

The wax ribbons need to be used with transfer paper for transfer onto fabrics. They are similar to the older Alps/Citizen ribbons.

You can obtain the correct paper from various suppliers.

I’ve still got my old Citizen Printiva, it prints quite well onto paper, but then it is only A4 in size. I’ve used it for tees (hence the correct transfer paper) and prints (due to its longevity in UV life).

What about stickers ….. like the ones you get at the dentist etc .. they are paper based ones …. perhaps short runs of those types of things
is where the wax comes in?? I dont know who would supply the sticker paper though … perhaps europoint??

Im just babbling now with ideas popping in my head 😮
