WANTED: Monogram

Hi

I’m looking for a monogram to be made from the letters VA (uppercase) but with curly bits to look like waves. The customer is by the sea and wants this impression to be included in the monogram.

Any ideas? Are there fancy fonts commercially or freely available or does this have to be hand-drawn, ‘cos I can’t draw the dole. 🙁

Hi Steve,

Corel draw has a few nice fancy clipart alphabets, maybe something in there would suit. I’ll have a look tomorrow in case you don’t have it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have Corel 8 and 11, I totally forgot about the alfy bit. I’ll have a look 😀

Anyone else?

Edit: Had a wee look, nothing i could find suitable really. 😥

Steve do yourself a favour and get Mikes CD theres just the information you want on there for making monograms, even shows you how to do it.

Aha!

I bought Mikes CD a couple or three weeks ago. Haven’t managed to get that far yet, I will now fast forward with great vigour and enthusiasm……. 😉

You’ve done what? bought that CD and not looked at it!!! I’ve been trying to save for the bloody thing for months.

I lay awake at night dreeeaaaming of owning it… ( Monty Python moment)….I’ve had a list of stuff that I had to do before getting it. Last job’s just been paid for Broadband internet connecton, this week ( best part of $500.00). So…a couple of weeks and I’ll be buying it if my car doesn’t blow up or something else happens.

Actually, I’ve spent several hours on it, just haven’t reached the monogram bit yet 🙄

Several hours ???????? Had it three weeks ???? the day I got mine I did nowt that day but read through everything going “Cor bloody clever clogs is that bloke” ( 😉 Mike 😉 )

Hey Good news… I had just finished the post to Steve in which I bitched and moaned. The phone rang and It was a customer giving me the go ahead on his new shop signage. Guess what? I can now buy it. I’m so excited…Just got to get deposit cheque and wait for the thing to clear.
