  • Wanted – Floor stand for Graphtec plotter

Posted by WP_Graphics on January 23, 2003 at 11:18 pm

I have a graphtec FC2100-50 plotter which – just now – rests on the floor. I need to get it on a stand so I can mount my vinyl also.

Does anyone know where I can get a stand from or does anyone have one for sale….?

For reference, the plotter takes 500mm wide vinyl max.

Gav, why waste your money, make one instead, I’ve stood on this one and I’m 16 stone so it’s good and strong 😆

Chalkie its not a case of having the talent to do it, its having the 300 quid to spare on a stand, when I can make one myself from some 4×2, an old bit of kitchen worktop and a hand full of coach bolts 😀 thats 280 quid still in my pocket 😎 😎

    Steve,

Looks sturdy enough, how have you managed to positition the vinyl away from the edge of the cutter? Also, is the roll of vinyl free to rotate round so you can roll the amount of vinyl you want to cut out without scratching it on the wooden surface?

    Cheers mate!

Gav, the vinyl sits on a pair of rollers that came with the plotter, this then screwed to the top behind the plotter so its free to roll out as much as it needs.
