Um, I guess the topic says it all. 😀 Basically, something along the lines of a Gerber Edge or Roland ColorCAMM. Wide-Format isn’t important – in fact, space is an issue here! Roland used to do a desktop ColorCAMM didn’t they? PC-12 or something… but it got discontinued…. anyone got a second hand one?

    Thanks all!,

Thanks to all who replied / PM’d – got quite a few good leads. 🙂

Having been chatting with various people about this my request is refined to a Roland PC50 or PNC5000. I know the PC50 has rubbish print quality – but I’m more concerned about having a decent cutter right now.

    Thanks again!,

just be aware that you might find it difficult to get cartridges and aftermarket refills for the 50/5000. (We found that refilling with 60/600 ribbons dont work that well with it generally) and the price of the carts is higher compared to a 60/600. It is a VERY slow vinyl cutter too.
The print quality is not that bad – if you use spots and do small stuff.

If you buy the PC50 – make sure you also get all the cartridges. You can indeed re-fill your cartridges or have them refilled for you by the specialist suppliers out there. The PC60 refills generally available will actualy work in the PC50 cartridge – if you use the correct ribbon cores. So ribbons ARE available – at the same price as PC60 refills. The trick is to have enough empty cartridges and to know about the cores. I’ll send a PMes email to you with supplier info.
    Regards …. Bid D …Print One 😳
