Looks good Gorden, and yes I can believe how long it took,
I do quite a few vipers stripes, and to do a good job, especially over multi panels like on the back doors does take time.
Hope you quoted a good price for it

Only done one set and the guy insisted he would wait as it would only take me 20 minutes.

LOL, 3 hrs later he was quite bored.

Those ones look the business Gordon

    Nice neat work.
Anytime something looks like it should be easy, you know it’s not.

Have done several of these on cars so can appreciate what your saying.
When we get asked for anything like this we tell the customer he has to book it in and leave it for the day, its not a while-U-wait job.

I knew it was going to be a pain especially as I was going right to the bottom.
I actually did the bonnet twice as I knew it would go off line on the front curve. It came in by 4 mm in the last 4" and you could notice it so re did it with a 4mm spread on the bottom 4" and although not perfect was pretty close. I applied these dry with app tape and found it easier to cut in half along its length before applying.
Is this the way the more experienced people would do it?
Forgot to mention that the customer was absolutely delighted with it when he saw it which pleased me as between him and his son have given me a considerable amount of work and now don’t ask for prices just tell me to do the work knowing that I am not the type to take advantage.

We always apply the longer sections wet.

I did the first apply to the bonnet wet and as usual had problems finishing the edges and folding it over/under if you know what I mean or do you have a way to do this that doesn’t take forever and gives good results

Just leave to dry a while and blast with the heat gun.
