  • VinylMaster Pro Limiting the speed of Summacutter

We are experiencing a problem with a new Summacutter d60. The machine runs perfectly out of WinPlot at whatever speed is programmed into the machine using the Summacutter Control software. However, when the machine is run out of VinylMaster Pro, the pre-set speed on the cutter is always changed to 450 linear MM/Sec. This is a bit disappointing as the machine goes very well even at 800 MM/Sec on the type of work we are doing. We would like to use VinylMaster Pro all of the time but are being forced to use WinPlot for some jobs requiring the highter speed.
In VinylMaster Pro’s Vinyl Spooler, after the Summacutter is installed a default speed setting for the cutter of ‘VS’ is set. Can this be set to run the cutter at higher speeds? – Appreciate your help everyone.

FYI: Tony replied to me via e-mail.

    Hi,

If you go to the Vinyl Spooler, and click on the Blue Plotter to get to the plotter settings window, then click on the “Advanced” button.

In the section for the “Initialization”, which may look somthing like: :;H A LO ECN V18 remove the “V18” part, and then click on “Update” in the bottom right corner.
