  • Vinyl stickers suitable for use with Ball point pen?

Posted by Lee Pawlett on October 18, 2005 at 8:40 pm

    Hi,
I need to produce some stickers for my customer that they can write on with a standard ball point pen. We have a greber edge and the material needs to be 380mm width sprocketed. Does anyone have any suggestions? 🙄

I use polyester label stock from spandex for a similar job, it does not work with all ballpoints, I have just tried some off the roll.
but the customer has written on more than 4000 now and has not complained. Dont know if this will help, but spandex should be able to give more advise.

you can write on most printable material but you must let it dry, I make serves stickers for a garage and just use Avery 600, they write on the mileage and things.

    Just test what you have.

I print on matt material, most biros will write on that. Avery have a new vinyl (3001) not sure if it will work on the gerber tho

with the edge we normally use the clear coat/abrasion guard cartridges which can be written on with a ballpoint pen
