vinyl rack ?
Posted by signdevil on November 1, 2006 at 12:36 pmHi, we’re after a free standing vinyl rack similar to what you see by following this link : http://www.beacongraphics.com/vinylrack.html Does anybody know where something like this can be bought from in the UK?
😉

racking is the final thing i need to do still in my workshop, i still keep all my vinyl in the boxes wrapped in the foam. I have over 50 colours now thou and thats a lot of boxes, lol.
I worry about having the vinyl:-
a. on its side.
b. exposed to elements, as it were, ie. cold of the night etc.are either of these things a problem, if not then i may go for racking as in the photo there.

That’s the way of the world unfortunately.
To the US price you need to add the cost of shipping, insurance, duty, VAT, import paperwork, cost of shipping to your premises, etc etc. Add in the higher cost of doing business in the UK in the form of higher property and social taxes and you see why there is the apparent discrepancy.
It ain’t all sweetness and light. 🙁
