    Hi,
I’m using VMP 2.95 and am having trouble working out how to save the result of running the ‘speed weed’ function.
I have several lines of text,
send them all to ‘cut file’
    send to spooler,
    Click ‘cut tiles’,
select the one I want (normally the bottom one),
Click on the Speed weed creater icon,
select all text then click on ‘multi line speed weed’
Up to that point it is all fine and I could then cut OK, BUT I want to save the result to cut from in the future….
I can click on the save icon but can’t then find a file that has the weed boxes saved in it!!
Has anyone managed to do this, or am I asking too much?!
    Many thanks…
    John

If it works the same way as the latest version of VMP then you can just cut it as it is and the cut file will automatically be saved in the jobs done folder. Simply a case of selecting it again from that folder.

Martin…..you’re right, VMP does always save the cut files but I was just hoping for a way to save and then store in a logical location for easy finding next time!, particularly as there is a save option in the weed module!
I see from some of your earlier posts that you have upgraded to VMP 3 (xpt?),
    how do you find it?
and, I assume that files created in 2.95 will open OK, but do you know if files created in VMP3 can be opened and cut in 2.95??
This would enable me to have VMP3 on a design machine then just save the files to our network and cut from another machine running the 2.95 version..
hence only one new license required!
    Many thanks,
    John
