    Hi,

Please can I have comments from any one who has used this vinyl.

I am interested in gloss black to be applied to flt surfaces for vans.

Looking for a cheap vinyl for up to 5 years as this one is under £50 a roll.

    Thanks

    Ian

30 Series will be fine for the application you’re looking at, however I should point out that it is a monomeric calendered vinyl and is therefore suitable for flat applications only (which is what you’re stating anyway) – 3M class this as a 5 year durable product, however as with all monomeric vinyls they will be prone to shrinkage over time.

If you’re worried about this you should consider a polymeric calendered vinyl which will be good for up to 7 years for Black, will be more dimensionally stable, flexible, softer, easier to cut and weed and allow application over slight curves as well as flat areas. Obviously this means the product is more expensive than a monomeric but gives more peace of mind if you’re requiring a longer lifetime out of your graphics.

    Hi,

    610 or 1220

and I have ordered the 3m form you Stuart so I hope it will be fine. The price difference is all most double for the 50 series.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Ian

Thank you for the order – I am sure the 30 series will work fine for you – yes the 50 series is quite a bit more in % terms compared to 30 series but in real terms around 10p per sq ft more expensive, so depending on the size of graphic on the vehicle may only cost a couple of pounds more per vehicle but with more peace of mind.

    Hi Mathew

Thanks for the comments – glad that you’re happy with our service and the 50 series. It is our most popular range in the general signing and vehicle markings sector.
