There are a couple of people on the boards with them but not a lot of feedback really, SignUK is next month so maybe worth a visit and a look round. Really depends what you want the printer to do. As a sign maker I don’t see the point in having a machine that won’t print outdoor graphics.

Hi there
The HPZ6200 is a heavy-duty Photo Printer, therefor aimed mainly at internal point of sale work etc.
The HP L25500 shares the same chassis as the HP Z6200 but is a totally different beast.
Unlaminated the Latex inks are fine for 3 years and laminated 5 years.Gill

Sorry Gill I don’t understand why you have highlighted that part of the post I made.
If your looking to buy a latex printer but think it’s expensive why then opt for a cheaper machine that doesn’t do the same job?
It’s only my opinion but if I were to buy a printer it would be one capable of printing outdoor graphics like the 25500, not settle for a cheaper model like the 6200 which couldn’t do a lot of the work I would want it for.

Opps Sorry Martin I miss read your reply and took it that you were under the impression the latex was no good outdoors.

I have a L25500, not a cheap machine to buy but it is very very good.
Having said that it cost about the same to buy as the Grenadier I had from a few years ago, the main difference in cost was the extra plotter I had to get (the Grenadier was a print and cut machine, so no need for a separate plotter).
If I had to choose now I would go for the HP again.

Thanks for your reply but l was really looking for someone who has the kit l was asking about and some feedback on their performance.
ie. how happy they are with the printer they have.I know what they are both capable of from the info a rep gave me but i’m looking for a users point of view.

Hard to say at the moment, I am spending more on inks but I am also much busier than normal so that would explain it. It’s very easy to work out the running cost of the hp as it tells you precisely how much ink is used on each job, but I couldn’t do the same on the grenadier unfortunately.
