Hi all….not been on for ages….it must mean all is going well I suppose. I trust all is well here?..

Anyway things are looking up for 2010…just got a slot in a roofing supplies company catalogue so fingers crossed it’s gong to bring in business…….and it has.

So the question of you good folks is this. The client wants his signs on a very thin flexible backing……almost like a flexible plastic….(health and safety signs in vinyl)….not foamex or the like. The problem is I have no idea what it is or where to get it from….I’ll ring Amari and others tomorrow but I thought you guys and ladies might be of some assistance.

    Many thanks people….
    Bye for now…

When I worked elsewhere we used to use HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene)
I would think all the plastics suppliers would sell it.

we’ve used a product before but I can’t remember the brand name of it….Staufen Gloss or something

the likes of Robert Horne supply it in a couple of different thicknesses….ask for semi rigid plastics….I think it’s .25 – .5 mill thick

we used it as little SOLD slips to go into estate agents a4 window pockets…it prints nicely and will take vinyl well

Try Opaque PVC 1mm or 1.5mm from Robert Horne, its about £25 for an 8′ x 4′. They do another one poly something or other – its used for presentation files etc but I cant remember its exact name, I’m sure they’ll tell you though.

I think you are describing PENTAWHITE from Robert Horne.

We have used for site signage – rigid PVC, available in various thicknesses and can be screen printed or have vinyl applied.
