I have just installed the new firmware upgrade on my VP300, and have found a couple of colour charts in media settings, I was just wondering how these would relate to a colour pallete in Coreldraw, there seems to be no cmyk values or am I missing something? – probably!.
Also there are two options within mode in quality settings one is cmyk(v) and one cmyk(v) w-pass – am I right in assuming that the second option prints with the new upgrade and that the first one prints as pre upgrade. I have had a good look through the online manual but there does not seem to be much information.
    Thanks

I was looking at versaworks last night and you can print chip cards these have cmyk values on them when printed. You can also import the pallete into Illustrator and Corel Draw says so in the help file.

    Hi
load the Roland colour chart into Corel or Illy. Print the palette from the program although you can print it from versaworks but direct from the software will take into account how the software is set up. You can then choose your colour from the wall chart, apply it from the palette. Versaworks will then see it as a Roland spot colour and reprint as it is on the chart. If you just enter the CMYK values Versaworks will not see them as the Roland spot colours & can print different to the spot colour chart. if you use the colours correctly you get very vibrant colours which are easy to repeat time after time.

OK I have loaded the colour palette into Coreldraw where do I find the colour charts to print – I would rather have the smaller versions to start with

don’t know how to print palettes in Corel, in VW set the default profile etc you want in folder A also if you want it smaller change the percentage value. Go to media menu & select the colour selector chart. Make sure you go back into A and change the size back to 100% before you do any other printing. Hope this helps & is clear enough for you to understand
