    Hi

Just had a call from a customer for whom we recently did a colour change wrap, he has just tried to renew his insurance and the insurers have told him they will not renew his policy because the vehicle is wrapped, he has tried a number of insurers and most of them have said they will not insure the vehicle and those who will want silly money, its only a run of the mill Toyota RAV4, nothing exotic and the gentleman himself is retired so hes no boy racer.

We have always advised customers to tell their insurer that their vehicle has been wrapped and have never had any feedback such as this from anyone, just wondering if anyone else has heard anything like this or if the underwriters are starting to get the hump over wraps due to the increase in repair costs?

Also does anyone have any idea of an insurer that may well be more accomodating as currently he is considering having the wrap removed, its only been on 2 months!

    Ian.

    Hi Ian

Can’t help you myself, but may well be worth suggesting your customer contact Andrew at North Norfolk Insurance, he is an independant, and as such can source insurers from a wide area. He has done a lot of insurance policies for myself, and people I know.

If anyone can help, I’m sure Andrew can, and if he can’t he will tell him!
