Hi all been really busy this end did this the other day which was time consuming but worth all the work stripping out door handles etc I did this all on my own except someone to help with the roof and bonnet, just to hold the vinyl. its APA white pearl and I needed 25 meters x 1500mm to complete so around £900 just in vinyl!!!!
2 and a half hard days later all looked well !

    Good job.

Not sure on that vinyl cost though, the Hexis pearl has a proper pearl colour changing effect and would have been a bit cheaper.

Jon I normally use Hexis but this is what the customer wanted also Hexis is only 1370 so the bonnet would be tight ! the vinyl price was including the vat
    Rich
Hexis was only £100 cheaper on 25 meters

How did you find the APA compared to the Hexis?

Jon I would say the hexis can be a bit too thin and the apa is nicer to work with and I would say worth the extra money. I also found the material didn’t lose gloss or colour when really pushed to the limits like on the door mirrors

    Richard
    Thats a nice job.
Was it the air release material you used? I have used it a bit and it is very nice to work with.

I bet the client was very happy

Very nice, would love to be able to learn that.

Have to say though, that the tint on the front windows looks illegal.

Stuart the fronts are a little lighter than the rear but I think its asking for trouble !

    Yeah, looks nice though,
But I stopped doing fronts a while back as most cars have the legal limit in the glass already, and didn’t want to get a reputation in my area for doing them. Word would get around quick both to the police and to all the boy racers who just want the darkest, cheapest work.

Would love to do a wrapping course but until I work up to renting a unit again it wouldn’t be worthwhile at the moment.
Its taking all the parts off that worries me more than the vinyl work!!

your right , getting the door handles out of this was not so much hard just very tricky, wrapping them was easy!

Thanks guys, got to say I was worried but the application was more than easy with this material. However I could not make money or want to do these on a regular basis. I did however enjoy it after it went out the door. As I said only help was when fitting the bonnet and roof just to hold the film away. I have to say 2 and a half very hard days, but very pleased with the fit

very nice Rich….just got some samples of this stuff, along with leather look and coloured carbons…be real nice to get to do some of this… I know these total wraps take an age to do by yourself.
