Hey Mandy everytime I see it it looks sooooo sexy, I never did ask you how you did it, cut paint mask then spray?

yes …masked flowers onto silver background, then clear red kandy coat, then more flowers then, more kandy and so on, the first layers of flowers are darker as they get buried in the kandy ,the ones near the surface are lighter.
    then 2k clear.
I drew 8different hibiscus and scannned them into the computer then cut them in lots of different sizes then cut them in3yr vinyl for masks.
There are around 160/170 flowers, then after they were airbrushed and shaded they were oulined by hand in basecoat before final 2k clearcoat.

    Hi Mandy

    That is very nice indeed

We are in the process of doing up our old bay window to be our company vehicle.

We are going to recreate the old Mackerelbus paintjob but do the stripes in a dark colour change vinyl from KPMF.

We might carry the stripes down over the windows with film as well.

Next year we are going to start trading at the v-dub shows again so I hope to see you and your van at a few of them

I don’t know the mackerel bus, but I can’t recommend an ol vehicle enough for getting interesting work, not just in the vw scene[we’ve just done a redstripe bus on the strength of ours] but once it is snapped at a few shows you do get advertising and film companies giving you interesting stuff………so hope to see you in your bay at run to the sun perhaps???

    Hi Mandy

This is a pic of how it used to look about three years ago

since then it has had a front end smash, sat out side for two years in the rain and vandals kindly smashed the windows.

But it should be back on the road for next season fingers crossed

Hi Paul, we remember your Bay- say hi! at the next bug do you attend. Hey Mr.Priestley, Neil here, how’s it going- glad to see you’re still doing it, as we are! Yeah Stevo, you can get 8’x4’s in easily- as many as the payload allows. You have to watch the weight a bit as it sits pretty low anyhow.

Hi Mandy, I have seen your bus at a few shows, the first one was at Stoner Park, and most recently at Vanfest, glad to say I did have a very close look at it and took a few pics. Sadly I am a T25 and beetle man myself but do love the character of the old split.

Next time I see it i shall say hello.
