Anyone fancy a hair cut?… these people are actually planning on cutting hair INSIDE the van i mean its big but not that big! ohh and thats supposed to be a barbers pole incase you were wondering.

Most of these were designs from customers SPECIFIC instructions, so im not completly to blame, personally i think the stairlift ones a bit cramed-up, the cortesy car was more or less my design.

Let us know what you think

Nice work Lawrence! 😀 I like the barber’s van as well, boggles belief that they’d do it in that though, surely a minibus (ie with a few more windows) would’ve suited the task a little better 😮 🙄

As Jill says, looks like you’ve been busy. Are they all done in Avery? And how long did the astra-style van take you to do? (I’m always asking questions, sorry if it appears rude, just find it all interesting 😉 )

    Cheers, Dewi

Ask away—the first one took me 3 hrs, second 2 took me 2hrs each, I know the people who own the company quite well, right … I priced the job at £400 for 3 vans—-as their freinds now get this they had already been quoted £350-00 is that never right?, I charged 275 for the barbers and 150 for the saxo both were done on the same day! is this more of a fair price?

Thats really good going for that type of van Lawrence. The new astra shape has been mentioned time and time again on here as being a real pig to fit to, so 7 hours total for 3 vans, blimey! 😮 😀 Price wise, you’d probably fetch about £150-£175 for a singular van, obviously if the design was more complicated, you’d probably be asking more, but £400 for all 3 doesn’t sound that bad. Beats the merchants who will do a van for £80 😉 Again, with the barber’s van, its a relatively simple design (but I bet that barbers pole was a nightmare! 😕 ) and the saxo, similar in size to the astra, so price wise I personally don’t think you’re particularly undercharging. Mind you, I’ve heard about you Devon-types, don’t you have to pay £2.50 a pint down your way? 😉 😉 If you charge more, at least you get a better job to ale exchange rate! 😆
